We are made up of six very individual parishes, but whichever church you might like to visit you will receive a very warm welcome, uplifting thought provoking worship, and a community that genuinely cares about all people.  

April Away Giving Coffee Morning - Oshandi Aids Trust in Namibia

Date and time: Saturday 2 April 10am – 11.30am  

Location: St Chad Parish Centre, Station Road, Uppermill OL3 6HQ

Entry fee: £2 includes coffee and cake.
This month the cause supported is our parish link with the Church - The Holy Spirit, Oshandi, 'Namibia' via the 'Oshandi Aids Trust in Namibia'(OATIN). A raffle is also held during the morning and the well stocked second hand book stall plus other goods are available!!

 

Fair Trade Fortnight - 29 February- 13 March 2016

Like all our parishes in Saddleworth Team, St Chad's Parish is a Fair Trade parish.

During the fortnight Traidcraft goods can be purchased/ordered through our worship centres in the parish by contacting Liz Rooke on 01457 810666. Traidcraft goods are normally available at each of our 3 worship centres on a rota basis. For details of dates please contact Liz Rooke.

 

March Away Giving Coffee Morning - Water Aid

Saturday 5 March 10am – 11.30 am

 St Chad Parish Centre, Station Road, Uppermill OL3 6HQ

Entry fee: £2 includes coffee/tea and cake.

This monthly event enables the Parish community of St Chad, Saddleworth to hold Coffee Mornings in support of individual charities/causes. All ages are welcome.

This month the cause supported is WaterAid.

A raffle is also held during the morning and second hand books are on sale.

Good Friday Meditation - Saddleworth St Chad Church 12 noon - 2pm

As in previous years there will be a meditation again this Good Friday in the peaceful surroundings of St Chad's Church led by Rev.d Canon Brian Cordingley. The meditation will consist of six 20-minute contemplations with reading, comment, music, silence and poetry, finishing at 2pm. The title is "The Temple Curtain Ripped Right Down the Middle"  (Mark 15:33). You would be most welcome to come along and share the quiet.
